When I was little, my dad would often take us to Barnes & Noble and we would play in the kids area… and then…. (drumroll please) play HIDE AND GO SEEK! Haha, it might sound odd but it’s definitely one of my favorite things my dad did with us when we were little & I want to do it with my kids too!!! There’s something about the requirement of being quiet yet hiding that makes you feel mysterious and giggly all at once. Plus, when you’re in public playing hide and go seek… it just makes you feel like a secret agent that’s undercover and yeah.. it pretty much rocks.
Lilly seriously LOVED crawling around the kids area and it was soo so adorable. Granted the floors must have been filthy because her pants and toes turned almost black haha but hey, that’s what baths are for, right? It was quite hilarious actually, she would crawl super fast and then pause to grab a book off the shelves, throw it around, then crawl a little more and do it over again. She had this little trail of books she was leaving behind her and Kyle & I just laughed and picked them up after her. She unfortunately didn’t last too long though before she got tired and cranky so we didn’t get to stay as long as I would’ve liked but that’s alright; we decided to drive around the back roads to get her to fall asleep and the sunset was nothing short of amazing 🙂
